IFALPES, French as a foreign language school
IFALPES is a private higher education institution. We have been specialized for more than 30 years in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and welcome more than 600 students from all 5 continents throughout the year.
We organise language stays for adults or juniors, for groups or individuals, where students of all ages and nationalities come together in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The quality of our courses is ensured by our team of very experienced teachers who are passionate about their profession. Our students are mainly accommodated in host families and we take particular care in the selection and evaluation of these families. Moreover, because we believe that the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in its culture and traditions, we offer a very rich program of cultural activities and relaxation.
French School in Annecy
IFALPES is located at 8 minutes walk from the station and the historic centre of Annecy. Our school offers all the facilities to learn French in the best conditions. We are situated 3, Rue de Rumilly. Our new school, renovated in 2026 offers a more modern and comfortable environment for learning French in the best possible conditions.
Set over two levels, the school has been redesigned to provide students with a brighter, more functional and more welcoming learning space. The premises have been modernised, the layout has been rethought and the school is now equipped with new furniture to improve everyday student life.
The centre has:
- 7 bright and fully equipped classrooms, including a computer room with more than 20 workstations
- high-speed Internet access with free WIFI throughout the school
- a welcoming reception area with a street-facing front window
- a coffee corner with tables for students to relax before or after class
- a projection room that can also be used for classes and group activities
- a teachers’ room
- a staff kitchen area
- an outdoor space
- tourist information: guides, brochures, newspapers, cultural programmes.
As an official exam centre, KLF Annecy can host a wider range of exams. In addition to DELF/DALF, the school can also organise TCF and Civic Exam sessions, making it an increasingly important regional examination centre.
Accessibility
The school is spread over two levels. The main level is accessible to wheelchair users and students with reduced mobility, including the common areas. Please note that there is no lift to access the lower level.
