"I had 3 amazing months (March to May) in Annecy. Annecy is a beautiful and vibrant town. It is very picturesque with the lake and the nearby mountains. It is called the Little Venice due to the canals. I love doing sport and that is one reason why I chose Annecy. There is a cycle path that follows the lake. I could choose whether to run, rollerblade or cycle.
I stayed in the "vieille ville" (Little Venice region). My studio flat was in an amazing area. It overlooked the "Musée du Chateau". I walked out of my front door and I was immediately in an attractive street with boutiques, artisan bakeries, restaurants and not far from the open market. My language school Ifalpes was just 10 minutes away.
The Language school was well organised.
The classes had no more than 18 students in them. All the teachers I had were enthusiastic, dynamic and very approachable. There were various activities organised by the school.
I would recommend highly both Ifalpes and Annecy as a place to learn French."
